A well trained, equipped and motivated staff is the basis of our success at Mount Meru Flowers. The company invests a lot of time and money in training their staff, which includes promotion on performance related tasks. We employ 300 senior and junior staff which works day and night on the farm to ensure quality, production and reliable delivery to our clients. Our employees have been carefully picked ensuring the Management team is hard working, and consists of experienced rose growers and graders thus ensuring the quality and reliability of Mount Meru Flowers.
Management:
Herwig Tretter:- CEO and major shareholder, responsible for overall operations and marketing worldwide.
Heikki Niskala:- Farm Manager, responsible for production and human resources.
Morne Labuschagne:- Administrative Officer, responsible for accounting, cash management and import procedures.
Joyce Ngowi:- Grading Hall Manager, responsible for grading and packing.
Godfrey Gorry:- Logistical and IT Manager, responsible for logistics, transport and information technologies.

Tanzanian Law and International Standards as well as Human Rights and safety regulations are well respected. The labour force is working under European safety standards by using all protection equipment required.
The farm is FLO, MPS and MPS GAP certified label.
Our canteen is used by a large proportion of staff members.
Our normal working hours are 7h30 to 16h30 East African Time from Monday to Friday and 7h30 to 13h00 on Saturdays. Growers, grading and logistics are working also Saturdays and Sundays from 0730 to 1630.
